Daycare program

At The K9 Company, every day is an opportunity to train. Our daycare training program is infused with very important foundational and social skills development. 

Our daycare training program includes foundational and social skills development training. Controlled environment playgroups are chosen based on the dog’s temperament, size, drive type, and level of social skill.  Dogs learn appropriate social behavior as well as how to be redirected when being presented with behavior that is not appropriate.  Avoiding a potential conflict is equally as important as positive interaction.

Daycare gives your pet a chance to learn positive social etiquette and the difference between appropriate and inappropriate social behavior. Playgroups and social interactions are carefully controlled and supervised at all times.

Foundational Skills that are integrated into the daily daycare routine:

• Social Skills Development
• Impulse Control
• Name recognition
• Redirecting upon cue
• Working with a human handler 
• Entering and exiting a kennel, gate, door
• Bite inhibition (biting/nipping/mouthing), 
• Jumping on humans
• Opposition reflex work - working with a leash
• Proper greeting with humans and dogs

We have 5 play yards and 15 staff members to accommodate our pet guests. Playgroups run all day long, with short breaks for dogs to rest. Teaching your dog when it's time to rest and calm himself is also a very important skill. Being calm and relaxed in his space helps your pup learn to turn off stress and environmental stimulation.

Please contact us for current prices. We offer multiple pet discounts as well as package prices. Dogs must be up to date on Rabies, Distemper, and Bordetella vaccinations, within age appropriate schedule. We do not require any pet to be spayed/neutered to attend.

Daycare/Playgroups are always FREE with boarding and full grooming services.
